"29 “Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all. 30 Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised." - Proverbs 31:29,30
The mission of the Women’s Ministry is: To encourage spiritual growth through discussion around a topic, using the Word of God as our major reference. To provide a time for Christian women, 18 years of age & older, to gather and share experiences. To exercise our spiritual growth and love through serving others. In 2011 at the request of Rev. Jackson, the name was changed from First Baptist Women's Ministry to "Women Worth More" using Proverbs 31 as a scriptural reference.
The First Baptist Church of Huntington Women's Ministry meets every month on the Tuesday following the 2nd Sunday of each month.Throughout the year the Women's Ministry engages in outreach activities, service projects, and discussions to increase the knowledge of women walking in the will of God. All women age 18 and over are encouraged to join and participate. Led by the Holy Spirit and with the direction of Pastor Donte' Jackson, the First Baptist Church of Huntington Women Worth More conducts enriching and very informative discussions about many of the topics of interest to today's Christian women.
